Confidence rises among home builders

In September, home builder confidence saw a slight uptick as mortgage rates declined, ending four consecutive months of decreases. However, confidence remained relatively low as rising costs continued to hinder construction.


The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index, which measures builder confidence, increased to 41 from 39 in August, according to the National Association of Home Builders on Tuesday. This marks the first positive outlook for future home sales since May.
